Our home is where we normally feel the most comfortable, a place of retreat from the crazy world we live in.
We tend to set our homes up with furniture the way we like it, we have our favorite food and drinks, and we usually only invite other people into our homes if we have met them somewhere before.
It's often hard to get to know people in a public setting, but if you invite them to your home for a meal, it's not long before you get to know them enough to call them new friends.
For most of the 20th Century, people went to church on Sunday morning each week, and didn't necessarily have contact with other people from the same church during the week.
Now in the 21st Century there is a growing trend where people are opening up their homes again and meeting as the church, rather than just going to a church.
In our community, we have a vision to see the Church@Home meeting each week as a place you can really get to know other people, and the corporate church meeting where all our Church@Home groups will come together to celebrate and grow spiritually.
God is looking for homes that are open to the good news of the gospel message, will your home be one of them?
